Primary skills and responsibilities: (Others may be assigned)
• Work with system design in AutoCAD
• Troubleshoot control systems by close interaction with assembly and engineering team
• Ensure effective communication with customers, senior engineers, product and project managers, and team members in defining system requirements, system operation, and schedule planning
• Develop outsourcing vendors and maintain quality standards of parent company in USA.
• Must be willing to train in the USA with the senior engineers to learn common procedures. Training will be about three to four weeks.
• Provide support of new and existing equipment by providing on-site or phone support by use of analog and digital circuit as well as computer hardware knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Assists with machine start-ups and assists with coordination of installation services
• Programs real-time controls or user interface in C (secondary)
• Determines customer requirements based on input from sales documents and customer specifications
• Writes and debugs PLC control logic to industry standards
• Oversees implementation of “GM Standard PLC Code” for all current PLC applications – includes PLC 2, PLC 5, and Control Logix processors

Job Specifications: BSEE degree or equivalent experience with emphasis on controls or systems design. Experience with AutoCAD. Individual must have a demonstrated abilility to manage multiple projects and work within a cross-functional team environment. Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years experience in design and implementation of industrial automation equipment controls and software. Self-starter and self- motivated individual who understands the importance of being a team player to achieve organizational goals. Effectively
works with minimal supervision and is task oriented. Must be willing to travel as necessary. The candidate must have good written and oral English skills. Experience with Unix, and Windows programming. Object oriented programming experience. Should be PC literate in Microsoft Windows 95 or NT, Word, Excel.
